Jamaica’s national senior men’s football team will be without the services of regular captain and goalkeeper, Andre Blake, for 4-6 weeks.
Head coach of the Philadelphia Union, Jim Curtin, says their starting goalkeeper is recovering from a meniscus surgery.
Curtin described the procedure as minor.
He says there were a couple of little loose flaps in there and they cleaned up his meniscus, which had a little minor, minor tear.
While Blake recuperate he’ll miss Jamaica’s World Cup qualifiers against the Dominican Republic on on June 6 and Dominica on June 9.
