Jamaica’s national senior men’s football team should now be in Road Town the capital of British Virgin Islands ahead of Saturday’s Concacaf World Cup qualifier at the A.O. Shirley Grounds.

The team trained this morning before departing the island

The squad is a full strength one with Ethan Pinnock the only first team regular missing, however newcomer Tyreece Campbell of English Championship side Charlton Athletics is looking forward to his debut after acquiring his Jamaican passport.

The 21-year-old striker qualified to represent Jamaica through his father and maternal grandparents.

Campbell, who won the Charlton Young Player of the Year Award for the 2024/2025 season, says the process to represent Jamaica has been long.

He says he’s eager to wear the national colours.
