Reggae singer Vivian Jones passes away

Reggae singer Vivian Jones, also known as Sugar Love, has passed away.

Music News understands that the Trelawny-born, London-based artist had been ailing for some time.

Jones relocated from Jamaica to England at the age of 10 to live with his parents. He performed with several bands in the 1970s before launching his solo career in 1980.

During the 1990s, Jones established his own label, Imperial House, and became widely known for his lovers rock hits such as Sugar Love and Strong Love.

In 1991, he was named Best Male Artist at the British Reggae Industry Awards and later scored an international hit with Jah See Dem a Come in the late 1990s.
