Belize City hosted educators and academic leaders from across the Caribbean as the 21st Annual CANQATE Conference officially opened earlier this week. Mayor Bernard Wagner joined regional delegates at the ceremony, marking the start of a three-day gathering focused on strengthening quality assurance and academic standards in higher education.
The conference, held under the theme “Next-Gen QA: Metrics That Matter,” brought together professionals in education, accreditation, and quality management to exchange research, ideas, and best practices aimed at improving tertiary-level learning across the region. Special recognition was given to Oscar Requena and the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology (MOEST) for spearheading the initiative./
