Regional Education Leaders Gather in Belize for CANQATE Conference

Belize City hosted educators and academic leaders from across the Caribbean as the 21^st Annual CANQATE Conference officially opened earlier this week. Mayor Bernard Wagner joined regional delegates at the ceremony, marking the start of a three-day gathering focused on strengthening quality assurance and academic standards in higher education.  

The conference, held under the theme “Next-Gen QA: Metrics That Matter,” brought together professionals in education, accreditation, and quality management to exchange research, ideas, and best practices aimed at improving tertiary-level learning across the region.  Special recognition was given to Oscar Requena and the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology (MOEST) for spearheading the initiative./
