Jamaica’s Alana Reid opened the country’s account in Lima, Peru a short while ago, clocking 11.17 seconds to win the women’s 100-metre gold medal.
Reid led a Caribbean sweep of the medals, with former Austin Sealy Award winner, Adaejah Hodge of the British Virgin Islands coming home second in 11.27, and Barbados’ Kishawna Niles copping third in 11.37.
