Retired U.S. National Robbed at Gunpoint in Cayo Home Invasion

Police in the Cayo District are investigating a case of aggravated burglary that took place yesterday morning on Pine Ridge Road, about two miles from the main junction. According to reports, officers responded to the incident around 9:30, where they met 63-year-old David Michael Gray, a retired American national. Gray told investigators that around 9:00 while feeding his chickens, he was approached by three men, one of whom was armed with a firearm. The gunman reportedly placed the weapon against Gray’s back and forced him into his house, where the assailants tied him up and began demanding money. In fear for his life, Gray complied and handed over the password to his safe. The burglars made off with a substantial haul, including a sum of money, a grey 2022 Toyota Hilux, and various tools, with an altogether value of one hundred and fifteen thousand Belize dollars.
