Richards set new national 400m record

T&T star runner Jereem Richards claimed silver in the Men’s 400 metres at the Wanda Diamond League Final at the Allianz Memorial Van Damme in Brussels, setting a new national record of 43.68 seconds.

​He finished just behind Botswana’s Busang Collen Kebinatshipi, who took gold in 43.40 seconds, while American Jacory Patterson placed third in 43.78 seconds.

Richards’ blistering time shaved 0.04 seconds off his previous national mark set in Tokyo, cementing his place among the world’s elite quartermilers.
