Trinidad and Tobago’s Jereem Richards earned a third-place finish in the men’s 400 metres, clocking 44.23 seconds at the World Athletics Ultimate Championship Budapest 26 on Saturday.
The one-lap event was won by Botswana’s world champion Collen Kebinatshipi, who lived up to his status as the event favourite by storming to the title in a national record of 43.39, securing sole ownership of fifth place on the world all-time list.
USA’s Rai Benjamin took second place in 44.15 before shifting his focus to the 400m hurdles later in the championship.
