Ricketts Targets Third Diamond League Win in Oslo

National women’s triple jump star Shanieka Ricketts will go for her third straight Wanda Diamond League victory of the season on Thursday when she contests her pet event at the Oslo Meeting in Norway.

Ricketts has been in inspired form since the start of the season, ticking off back-to-back Diamond League wins in Doha and Rome.

The Olympic silver medallist will be joined in the event by fellow Jamaican, Ackelia Smith, and the woman who beat her for gold in Paris, Thea LaFond of Dominica.

Jordan Scott will be in the men’s triple jump where three of the finalists from Paris are also entered, including the silver medallist Pedro Pichardo of Portugal.

Paris Olympics 100-metres champion of St. Lucia, Julian Alfred, will be carrying the hopes of the Caribbean in that event.
