Rodwell Ferguson Returns to Cabinet in Major Agriculture Shake-Up

As you may have noted, Rodwell Ferguson has made a significant political comeback with his elevation to Minister of Agriculture, Food Security and New Growth Industries.  This move by the PM marks one of the most notable shifts in the latest Cabinet realignment announced by Prime Minister John Briceño. The appointment positions Ferguson as the successor to former minister Abelardo Mai, placing him at the helm of one of government’s most vital economic portfolios.  This promotion represents a major upgrade for Ferguson, who was back-benched just eight months ago and assigned as a Minister of State. His return to a full ministerial post either underscores a renewed vote of confidence from the Prime Minister or an indication of something else, like limited choices.  According to the PM, however, Ferguson will have the support from CEO Servulo Baeza who will provide continuity in the ongoing projects.
