Jamaica’s Rovman Powell has been appointed captain of the Dubai Capitals for the upcoming Guyana Global Super League T20 July 10 to 18 at Providence.
Powell who was stripped of the West Indies T20 captaincy in March will have another Jamaican with him in the squad, emerging talent Jordan Johnson.
Two other West Indians are also in the Dubai outfit, Barbadian allrounder Kadeem Alleyne and and Dominic Drake.
Five franchises from New Zealand, Australia, Bangladesh and the West Indies are taking part in the competition.
