Rugged Boss Set to Drop ‘Warning’, Second Single of 2025 on Friday, June 6

Dancehall artiste Rugged Boss is poised to release his second single of 2025, Warning, this week. The Arnett Gardens native highlights that ‘Warning‘ will be a follow-up to his previously released his song titled ‘Run In’ that has been giving him a buzz in the streets and online.

“Warning his basically the follow-up behind Run In, Run In was really about self-defence and Warning is like a follow-up to that, like you Warn some people to not disrespect, don’t try to violate and don’t try to push your button to a certain limit,” Rugged Boss stated as he talks on the track.

As per the deejay, he came up with the melody first, then the lyrics. The song was recorded at Ram Head studio with the beat being composed by West-876, Jah-Love-2-U productions also worked on the production of the song.

Rugged Boss launched his professional music career in the late 1990s. The deejay has garnered praise from fans with songs such as Tight Oh, ThickThick, GoodGood, and Pole, predominantly from his female listeners.

While Rugged Boss has not yet found a commercial hit, the artiste remains intent on carving out his own space in the music industry. He recently joined the popular sound system selector Boom Boom on stage at UpTown Mondays to perform ‘Run In’ live in front of Dancehall fans.

While Rugged Boss is still promoting Run In, his new song Warning will be released on Friday and will be available on all major streaming platforms. Notably, Rugged Boss made a bold statement on Run In, his upcoming song promises to be an even more hardcore Dancehall single.

In a snippet of the song shared online, Rugged Boss shows his bravado.

“Buterfly, when bwoy and him crew dem run up. Rifle rise; him and him friend dem dun up. People cry; bwoy body pan do grung cyah get up. Sent it guh live; WhatsApp, TikTok, Instagram f**k up. Dem cyah bad we up. Guh bad up yuh mumma and yuh whole family,” Rugged Boss deejays in the song.
