Jamaican Olympian Sabrina Lyn can add another accolade to her swimming career as she qualified for her first NCAA Division-1 Championships.

The Bolles School graduate made the grade as a member of the LSU 200 yard freestyle relay team at the ongoing SEC Championships.

The team clocked 1-minute-28-point-20 seconds.

That got them under the NC-Double-A Division-1 “A” time of 1-minute-28-point-42 seconds.

It also placed them fifth overall.

That is Lyn’s highest placing at the Conference Championships.

It will be the first time a Jamaican woman is going to the Championships since Breanna Roman qualified while competing for Auburn in 2018.

It will be the first time a Jamaican woman has qualified for that race since 2011 when Olympian Natasha Moodie qualified with the University of Michigan.

Lyn also had best showing at the Championships in the 50 yard freestyle.

This year she placed 31st with a time of 22-point-55 seconds.
