The Salvation Army Belize brought laughter, music, and a festive spirit to the Holy Redeemer Parish Hall this morning as primary school students from across Belize City gathered for the organization’s annual Christmas party and toy drive. The hall buzzed with excitement as the children enjoyed playful entertainment, bright decorations, and a warm, cheerful atmosphere. A tradition dating back several decades, the event continues to brighten the lives of Belize City’s youngest students. This morning, 600 children gathered at the parish hall gathering, receiving toys, snacks, and lunch. Beyond today’s gathering, the Toy Drive is expected to reach close to 1,000 students as volunteers make visits to schools and communities across the city throughout the holiday season. Major Marc Eddy Momplaisir, District Officer of the Salvation Army, says the event gives students a chance to experience the excitement of receiving gifts while also celebrating community spirit.
Major Momplaisir shared the joy the Toy Drive brings him personally, reflecting on the excitement and happiness of the children.
The Salvation Army’s Toy Drive once again created a heartwarming experience for Belize City’s students, spreading cheer and generosity across the community. Grace Kennedy Belize Ltd was present at the event, providing additional snacks, while volunteers distributed toys the children, ensuring each student went home with something special. Adding to the fun was a clown who entertained the children with balloon hats and animals.
