Samantha McFarlane was crowned Miss Universe Jamaica West during a glittering ceremony on Sunday evening at Hotel Commingle in Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland. The 23-year-old cosmetologist received her crown from Hannah Sheree, regional manager and pageant director for Miss Universe Jamaica West, after emerging from a field of 11 contestants. McFarlane edged out strong competition from first runner-up Shanni Wallace and second runner-up Gabrielle White, who was also a crowd favourite.

Meanwhile, Akedia Morgan was crowned Miss Universe Jamaica Central on Saturday night at the Golf View Hotel in Mandeville, Manchester.

Miss Universe Jamaica West and Central are two of five regional pageants that feed into the national competition, alongside Miss Universe Jamaica Northeast, Northwest, and East.

Earlier this year, Troy-Ann Anderson, a performer and mentor, was crowned Miss Universe Jamaica East 2025, while Dreanna Williams, a quantity surveying student at the University of Technology, earned the Miss Universe Jamaica Northeast 2025 title.
