President of the Jamaica Olympic Association, JOA, Christopher Samuda, says the return of his entire slate to guide the affairs of the association for another 4-years is testament to the confidence the member federations have in the stewardship of his administration.
Samuda was returned to the top job unopposed at the association’s Annual General Meeting and Elections, on Wednesday.
Treasurer Nicole Case was also returned unopposed.
Meanwhile, 1st vice-president Jacqueline Cowan who was initially being challenge by Raymond Anderson was eventually returned unopposed after Anderson withdrew his candidacy before the meeting and did not attend.
Robert Scott again beat Ian Forbes for the 2nd vice-president position with a vote of 44-4.
Nicole Grant with 46 Votes, Gary Peart 46, Karen Anderson 46, Anthony Wilmot 45 and Laurel Smith 45 votes all returned as directors of the JOA.
Samuda says the overwhelming support of his slate is humbling.
