San Estevan Village Receives Expanded Water System in Rural Development Push

Residents of San Estevan Village in the Orange Walk District now have access to a more reliable water supply following the inauguration of an upgraded water system this week. The project forms part of the Ministry of Rural Transformation, Community Development and Local Government’s ongoing programme to expand infrastructure and improve living conditions in rural communities across the country.  During the ceremony, Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry, Valentino Shal, explained that the initiative is one of several being implemented nationwide, including water expansions, electricity upgrades and support for village councils, all aimed at narrowing the gap between rural and urban areas.
