A tragic road traffic incident in San Pedro Town has claimed the life of a thirty-three-year-old man and left another injured, as police continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision. The fatal accident occurred shortly before 11 o’clock on the night of June 11 along Pescador Drive. Preliminary police investigations indicate that twenty-three-year-old Vincent Donaji Canul was driving a red Lifan motorcycle with thirty-three-year-old Gilberto Ismael Noble riding as a passenger when the collision occurred. According to investigators, the motorcycle was attempting to overtake a yellow golf cart traveling along Pescador Drive when the golf cart reportedly made a slight left turn. The maneuver resulted in a collision between the two vehicles. As a result of the impact, Noble sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to the San Pedro Polyclinic for treatment. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after midnight. Canul, meanwhile, suffered injuries to his right foot and received medical attention. Assistant Superintendent of Police Stacy Smith provided an update on the investigation.
