President of the North American, Central American and Caribbean, NACAC, Athletics Association, Mike Sands, expects this year’s staging of the Senior Championships to be the biggest in history.
The championships is set for the Bahamas from August 15-17.
Sands believes the event benefitted from ending so close to the cutoff date to achieve the qualifying standards for the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.
He says several big-name athletes from the region have indicated their intention to compete at the championships.
Sands says the relays are receiving the most interest.
