Sarawee Family Receives New Home Under Government Housing Program

A family in Sarawee Village, Stann Creek District is tonight celebrating a new beginning after receiving the keys to a newly constructed home handed over yesterday.  The initiative forms part of the Government’s ongoing housing assistance program aimed at improving living conditions for vulnerable Belizean families. Present for the official handing over were Minister of Infrastructure Development and Housing, Julius Espat, and Area Representative for Dangriga, Dr. Louis Zabaneh.  Dr. Zabaneh says the project represents government’s continued commitment to uplifting residents in rural communities and ensuring families have access to safe and dignified housing.

The recipient, Gilda McKenzie, expressed gratitude for the assistance, noting that the new home will bring stability and comfort to her household.

Officials say similar housing projects will continue across the district as part of broader efforts to enhance quality of life and community development.
