SCA Seahawks Win Historic Gold at CODICADER Volleyball Championship


Saint Catherine Academy Seahawk U15 Volleyball Team won Gold against Costa Rica in the 9th Intermediate Level Central American Council of Sports & Recreation CODICADER Games on Tuesday at the National Gymnasium in San José, Costa Rica The Seahawks dominated the tournament  as these stellar athletes between ages 13 to 14 showed the result of their hard work and dedication, taking their training to the main court and outclassing all their opponents. The Belizean girls went undefeated through the entire tournament and yesterday they battled their final game against the host nation Costa Rica defeating them in a nerve wrecking two set game 28-26, and 26-24. Solidifying not only their medal, but their names in history as this is the first time Belize has won a gold in this category. Jamie Lee Espejo with her leadership, consistency, and clutch play lifted the team when it mattered most. earning the MVP for the Intermediate Level CODICADER Volleyball Games. There will be a motorcade tomorrow at 11am to celebrate their historical victory. Again congrats to the athletes.
