The Jamaica Scorpions will begin Friday’s third day of their West Indies Championship encounter against the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force with a healthy lead of 221 with seven wickets in hand.
The Scorpions closed day two on 20 for 3 after taking a first innings lead of 201.
Senior batters Brandon King, Kirk McKenzie and Jermaine Blackwood are all back in the Pavillion.
The Red Force folded for 171 replying to the Scorpions’ 372. Joshua Da Silva top scored with 86 against three wickets each from Marquino Mindley and Abhijai Mansingh.
Over at the Darren Sammy Stadium, Windward Islands Volcanoes and the Barbados Pride will resume their battle.
The Volcanoes will resume on 204 for 3 in their second innings, a lead of 191 – Kavem Hodge is unbeaten on 77, while Alick Athanaze made 78.
The Pride took a 12-run first innings lead after they were dismissed for 198 as Keon Gaston grabbed 6 for 52, and Gilon Tyson, 3.
At Warner Park, the Leeward Islands Hurricanes were still in charge against champions the Guyana Harpy Eagles.
The Eagles will resume on 137 for 1 batting a second time, still trailing by five runs.
Matthew Nandu is not out 53 and Raymond Perez was dismissed for 49.
Meanwhile, West Indies Academy holds the advantage over the Combined Campuses and Colleges at the Sir Frank Worrell ground.
CCC will resume their second innings on 35 without loss. They still trail the Academy by 43 runs.
Scores so far are CCC 238 and 35 without loss, and the West Indies Academy 316 all out.
