Sean Kingston is asking the judge in his federal wire fraud case to allow him to serve his prison sentence from the comfort of his home.
Kingston and his attorney are requesting a 2 to 2 1/2 years sentence. While they that the acknowledge official guidelines call for a sentence of 5 to 6 years, they want the reduced time because according to them Sean has never done time before and has done several good deeds in his community.
Sean’s legal team outlined that the Rapper previously organized toy drives, fed the homeless and gathered clothing for the needy. They also included several photos of him performing the charitable acts.
The legal team also filed several character letters written in support of Sean, one was written by his sister. Sean and his mother, Janice Turner, were convicted of wire fraud in March. Janice was sentenced to 5 years, while Sean will be sentenced this Friday August 15.
