Hit after hit and unmatched energy, Sean Paul lit up Atlanta yesterday (July 27), bringing the curtains down on his collaborative Good Vibes Only Tour with rapper Wiz Khalifa.
In a backstage exclusive, Sean Paul shared that the idea for the tour, merging Dancehall and rap, came about organically.
Sean Paul also explained that the North American tour, which kicked off in June, introduced him to new audiences.
As for the global waves Dancehall has been making, Sean Paul says it’s great to see the genre in the spotlight again in a major way.
The Atlanta leg of the tour also featured rapper DaBaby, who opened the show held at Lakewood Amphitheater in Atlanta, Georgia.
Sean Paul followed with a high-energy set, reeling off a slew of hits to screaming fans from all walks of life. Songs like “Gimme Di Light,” “Temperature,” and “Get Busy” others had the crowd in full sing-along mode.
Wiz Khalifa wrapped up the night with a rap-rock vibe that sealed the deal for fans.
Sean Paul is expected to return to Jamaica today and says he’s excited to reunite with his family.
