UK producer Seani B has put a spin on a classic sound with the recently debuted 'Limb By Limb' rhythm, a reworked version of the 1992 'Fever Pitch' rhythm.
The original featured the popular Limb By Limb track by Cutty Ranks, who has returned to feature on a track along with Tina Tammi and Pamputtae. The compilation is also graced by a host of worldwide acts, such as Bunji Garlin, Yaksta, Trini Boi Joocie, Roze Don and IWaata, whose single Gallawasp has been released to much fanfare.
"My connection with IWaata started around 2018 when I met him in the Kingston studios. He approached me with music and I was quite impressed, so we kept the link. For this track, we wanted to do something for the ladies and just bring the dancehall energy to the streets," the producer highlighted. So far, the reception has been great, with the nostalgia at a high and the appreciation for old-school dancehall being shown by music lovers everywhere.
"My hope for the riddim is that people will enjoy it and feel what I felt when I was creating it. For me, it's a riddim that embodies what dancehall is - the energy, the drive, the repetitiveness in the riddim," Seani B expressed.
In the music game for some time, Seani B has been producing and mixing music since the '90s, working with a host of big names such as Vybz Kartel, Sizzla, Luciano, and TOK. One of his notable achievements is winning a Grammy with Morgan Heritage in 2016 for his part in their Strictly Roots album, for which he produced the title track and another titled Perform and Done.
"For me, making music is really an expression of love and a creative outlet. Whether it's deejaying in a club, presenting it on YouTube or radio, or creating it in the studio, music is an integral part of who I am," the producer stated. Recently, he has worked on singles for I-Octane, Laa Lee and Govana, with other projects in the works.
"I have over 30 finished songs ready to present to the world - [I have] albums' worth of material. I promised myself that I would release all of those tracks, and since the album format isn't much of the vibe any more, I will be releasing them bit by bit each month," he revealed.
