Seanizzle celebrates 20 years in music

Producer Sean Reid, better known as Seanizzle, is celebrating two decades of success in the music industry. Reflecting on his journey, the Seanizzle Records boss credited his faith as the foundation of his achievements.

"Celebrating 20 years in music, the first thing I have to say is wow, God is truly amazing. It elicits a mixture of emotions, including gratitude, excitement and appreciation," he said of the milestone.

The hit-making producer's love affair with music began in childhood. His mother filled the home with timeless classics from Skeeter Davis, Aretha Franklin, Celine Dion and Whitney Houston, while his brother's obsession with sound systems meant the house was stacked with cassettes from giants like Kilimanjaro, Stone Love, Bass Odyssey and Gemini. That foundation would eventually spark a career that has made Seanizzle a household name in dancehall.

Over the past two decades, Seanizzle, has worn many hats - producer, recording artiste, manager, consultant and now event promoter. His fingerprints can be found on some of dancehall's most iconic productions, including the riddims One Day, Split Personality, 47th Floor and Powerhouse. His prints are also on chart-toppers such as Khago's Nah Sell Out (parts 1 & 2), Elephant Man's Gully Creepa, Beenie Man and Future Fambo's Drinking Rum and Redbull, Mavado's Way We Roll and Bugle's Rasta Party.

"This anniversary provides a moment to reflect on the journey, the evolution, personal growth, the ups and downs that the impact the music has made on myself, the artistes and the audiences, and the opportunity to acknowledge the support of those who helped along the way," the producer stated.

In observation of the milestone, Seanizzle will host Legacy & Evolution, a glamorous black-and-white affair at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre in St Andrew this Friday.

Heavyweight DJs including Chris Dymond x Code Lank, DJ Ashile, Di Unit, ZJ Liquid and DJ Curtisy will provide the entertainment.
