Political Commentator, Lloyd B Smith, believes Delano Seiveright’s decision to suspend his bid for North Central St Andrew suggests a clear sign of internal discord in the JLP.
Mr Smith says the longer the party allows uncertainty in the constituency to linger, the greater the risk of jeopardising its fortunes at the polls.

Senator Delano Seiveright sent tongues wagging last month after announcing he had applied to replace Karl Samuda as the JLP Standard Bearer in North Central St Andrew.
Samuda, who has represented the constituency since 1980, will not be seeking re-election.
In a video note on Good Friday, Senator Seiveright said he made the decision after careful reflection and with the full support of Mr. Samuda.
But four weeks later, the newly minted senator says he’s putting a pause on the campaign with immediate effect.
It’s a decision Lloyd B Smith has described as a sign of disunity in the JLP.
The political commentator says the party’s delay in settling the seat could affect their chances at the polls.
And fellow political commentator, Germaine Barrett, says the uncertainty surrounding the seat is not a good look for the party.
