Senator Critical of Opposition’s ‘Opportunism’ in Politicising Mould at KPH

Government senator, Dr. Elon Thompson, is describing as unfortunate partisanship and clear opportunism, a move by Opposition Spokesman on Health, Dr. Alfred Dawes to raise alarm about suspected mould inside the operating theatre at the Kingston Public Hospital, KPH.

Senator Thompson says he has been reliably informed that work to address the issue is at an advanced stage.

He says that work began before Dr. Dawes sought to use the matter as a political football.

Senator Thompson says it’s unbecoming for Dr. Dawes to use challenges in the healthcare system for self-promotion.
