Member of the JLP’s Communication Task Force, Senator Marlon Morgan, is hailing the new record low of Jamaica’s unemployment rate as evidence of good stewardship by the Andrew Holness-led Administration.

The country’s unemployment rate has fallen to a new record low of 3.3 percent.

The figure was disclosed in the April 2025 Labour Force Survey by the Statistical Institute of Jamaica, STATIN.

It’s an improvement over the 3.7 percent recorded the previous quarter.

Also, for the second quarter of 2025 ending in June, there was a 1.7 percent increase in business confidence.

Consumer confidence also improved over the period by 1.4 percent.

Senator Morgan says the positive indicators signal an increase in the vote of confidence placed in the government by Jamaicans.
