Champions Kingston Cricket Club registered their third straight win in the Michael Holding Senior Cup with an innings and 122-runs win over St. Thomas at Sabina Park, on Sunday.
Led by half centuries from Javaughn Buchanan and Romaine Morris, Kingston CC declared their first innings on 268 for 6.
Buchanan’s 97 came off 97 balls and included 19-fours, while Morris fell two runs short of a century. His innings included eight fours and two sixes.
St. Thomas’ Jair Campbell took three wickets.
In reply, the visitors were bowled out for 58 in their first innings, with Kingston skipper Akim Fraser taking four wickets and William Stewart 3.
Asked to follow on, St. Thomas didn’t do much better as they were bowled out for 88 in their second innings.
Carlton Green bagged four wickets, Stewart, 3, and Andre Bailey, 2.
Meanwhile, last year’s beaten finalists, JDF returned to winning ways defeating Boys Town by 10-wickets.
Electing to bat first, the army men declared their first innings on 289 for 7.
Carlton Reid top scored with 92 not out, while Sheldon Cottrell made an unbeaten 63, and Kevin Daley, 56.
Renardo Adams and Dawit Morgan picked up two wickets each.
In reply, Boys Town were bowled out for 115 in their first innings and 186 when asked to follow-on.
Stephan Pink made 69 in the second innings and Dontae Clarke 42.
Other winners include, St. Mary CA, and Trelawney CA.
