Senior prison official arrested under Preventive Detention Order

Police arrested a senior prison official last night after a Preventive Detention Order (PDO) was issued for him.

The acting Superintendent of Prisons, who has over 20 years of service, was under investigation as part of the ongoing probe into the smuggling ring at the Maximum Security Prison.

He was last attached to the Carrera Island Prison, where he had been transferred one week after former acting Prisons Commissioner Carlos Corraspe was sent on vacation leave.
