Several of Jamaica’s stars athletes are not listed to compete at the JAAA Puma National Junior and Senior Championships at the National Stadium, from June 26-29.
These Include, Omar McLead, Elaine Thompson-Herah, Roje Stona and Jaydon Hibbert.
World and Olympic 110-metres hurdles champion, McLeod is surprisingly absent after some encouraging appearances so far this season.
His latest was his winning performances in the 100 metres and 110 metres hurdles in Italy on Saturday.
Meanwhile, double Olympic Champion Thompson-Herah and Hibbert’s absence is understandable as both are yet to make their season debut.
Stona’s has made two appearance but seems to have opted not to take part in the championships.
However, there will still be a galaxy of stars to put on a great show for Track and field fans.
Among them are, multiple world and Olympic champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, defending world 200-metres champion Shericka Jackson, Tia and Tina Clayton, Olympic silver medallist Kishane Thompson, Oblique Seville, Ackeem Blake and Bryan Levell.
Nationwide 90Fm will have live coverage of the Championships.
