Meet director of the Camperdown Classics, Courtney Brooks, says they may be forced to extend their scheduled close to the meet due to the overwhelming number of entrants.
The meet is set for the National Stadium on Saturday starting at 9AM.
Brooks says the 100-metres is the biggest contributor to the over subscription.

Also on tomorrow is the King of the Ring meet scheduled for Excelsior High School.
Competition will be in all three throwing events, Shot Put, Discus and Javelin.
Organizer of the event, Michael Vassell, says he’s pleasantly surprised by the number of entrants received for the event.
Jamaica ended the Paris Olympics with six medals – four of which came from field event athletes, including Rojé Stona’s gold in the men’s discus.
Vassell believes that may have Contributed to the large support for the meet this year.
He says the Javelin is one of the faster growing field events.
Vassell expects several of the senior athletes to open their season at the meet.
