Barbadian Shai Hope will debut as West Indies Twenty20 captain when the two time world champions take on England at the Riverside on Friday in the first game of their three match series.
Hope, who is also the One-Day International, ODI, captain, was appointed to lead the T20 side in March this year, replacing Jamaica’s Rovman Powell.
The Caribbean side will be seeking their first win on the tour of England following their 3-0 sweep in the ODI series.
Hope believes fast bowler, Alzzari Joseph will be crucial to the team’s success.
