Sprint queen, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, was officially presented with the Keys to the City of Kingston at Wolmer’s Girls high school, today.
The ‘Pocket Rocket’ had originally received the symbolic honour in 2008.
Fraser-Pryce is one of the greatest female sprinters in history. In 2008 at the Beijing Olympics she won gold in the 100 metre, becoming the first Caribbean woman to claim the title.
Fraser-Pryce says she wants her legacy to serve as a beacon to future generations.
She says the seven years she spent at her alma mater, Wolmer’s, played a huge part in nurturing her strong character.
