Decorated sprinter Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce will not compete in the 100m semi-finals at the Paris Olympics.
She was set to clash with reigning World Champion Sha'Carri Richardson and St Lucian speedster Julien Alfred in her semi-final.
Fraser-Pryce, Jamaica's three-time Olympic champion, was expected to line-up in heats this afternoon.
But ahead of the race, the shocking announcement came that the Jamaican will not contest the event.
This is Fraser-Pryce's final Olympic.
Fraser-Pryce, who has been nursing a knee injury for the 2024 season, was rumoured to have aggravated the injury during warm-ups.
More details to come.
