CHRISTOPHER TAYLOR will still have to wait to see if he can book a flight to next Month’s World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan, after he finished behind Bryan Levell in the 200 metres at the Maniak Wieslawa Memorial in Szczecin, Poland, a World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze meet, yesterday.
Levell, who recently ran a personal-best 9.82 seconds to win a meet in Austria, becoming the second-fastest Jamaican man in the 100m this season, was an easy winner in the half-lap event yesterday, clocking 20.26 seconds (+1.1 mps wind).
Taylor, who was hoping to hit the qualification mark of 20.16 for next month’s Tokyo World Championships, finished second in 20.35, while Kadrian Goldson completed the Jamaican sweep, taking third in 20.44. Odaine McPherson ended sixth overall in 20.84 seconds.
