The West Indies trail by 39 runs on 247 for 9 in the first innings on day two of the second Test against Australia at the national stadium in St. Georges Grenada.
The Windies had a shaky start to their response to Australia’s 286 losing their first three wickets for 64 runs.
However, Captain Roston Chase and Brandon King shared in a fourth wicket partnership of 47 runs to bring some stability to the innings before Chase went for 16.
King went for 75, his maiden Test half century and the first by a West Indian in this series. Next to King, countryman John Campbell provided the most resistance, being dismissed for 40.
Beau Webster has taken three wickets for the visitors. Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummings have so far taken two wickets each.
