Soca stalwart, Devon ‘Lyrikal’ Martin, is the newest ambassador for Campari Caribbean, following a February 5 signing with members of the brand’s team present as witnesses.
Beaming moments after the signing, Lyrikal, dubbed ‘The King of Carnival’, shared that “being the toast of Campari is a privilege and a passion”.
“I have long enjoyed Campari, and now, I look forward to contributing to and writing my chapter in the book.”
Theresa Higgins-Edwards, marketing manager - export, for Campari, said that her team is “absolutely excited to have Lyrikal as part of the family” and commended him for being “an incredibly talented artiste who completely exudes the traits of Campari Red Passion”.
“This carnival season will undoubtedly be an unforgettable one, so I encourage all masqueraders to join us in making memorable moments as we immerse ourselves in the wonderful culture of Trinidad and Tobago carnival,” Higgins-Edwards said.
As the brand welcomes yet another carnival season, it has launched a WhatsApp to Win promotion, which runs until March 14.
“Campari Carnival wouldn’t be a possibility without our loyal consumers, therefore it is only right that we give back to them in this season of celebration,” she continued.
In a press release, the brand stated that it “looks forward to a long and fruitful partnership with Lyrikal, and continues to proudly push the boundaries of creativity, encouraging persons to be bold and daring, embrace their passions and ignite their senses during this Carnival season”.
Consumers were urged to “embrace the mix and drink responsibly throughout this season of fêteing” .
