South Africa “A” beat the West Indies “A” by an innings and 88 runs in the first four day match at the Darren Sammy Stadium, on Wednesday.

Resuming on 251 for 6 Wednesday morning and needing a further 109 runs to avoid an innings defeat, the Windies were bowled out for 272 in their second innings.

Kevlon Anderson made 52, Alick Athanaze, 49, and Ronaldo Alimohamed, 40.

Prenelan Subrayen took five wickers for 82 runs and Tristan Luus took four wickets for 86.

On Tuesday, South Africa “A” declared their first innings on 600 for 7.

Final scores, West Indies “A” 240 and 272, South Africa “A” 600 for 7 declared.
