South Africa “A” beat West Indies ‘A’ by six wickets at the Daren Sammy Stadium in St. Lucia in the final game of their three match One-Day International series on Tuesday night.
The victory gave the South Africans a 2-0 series win after one of the matches ended in a no result.
Windies ‘A’ batted first and made 253 for 9 in their 50 overs. Shaqkere Parris fell four runs short of a century. His blistering 96 was spiced with 10 fours and two sixes.
South Africa responded with 258 for 6 in 35 overs. Rivaldo Moonsamy led the way with 94 and Marques Ackerman scored 71.
Jamaica’s Ojay Shields took two wickets for 44 runs.
