Southern Tour 2025 Team Welcomed at Belfuna in Hopkins

As we continue to follow Love FM’s Southern Tour 2025, the folks at Belfuna in Hopkins welcomed our team for today’s coverage.  Our team was given a first-hand look at how one of the staples of the Garinagu, especially around this time. 

Our team of Armin Arana and Paul Mahaung, who are in Punta Gorda, were on the grounds at the Father Ring Parish Hall for the Ms. St. Peter Claver R.C. Garifuna Pageant. Sharon Lucas, Principal of St. Peter Calver Roman Catholic School, spoke of the candidates. 

The winner of today’s pageant will be crowned tomorrow at the Garifuna awareness day at St. Peter Claver R.C. School. The tour continued with stops in Seine Bight at St. Alphonsus Garifuna Primary School, dined with Ms. Gloria Lambey at a traditional Garifuna Breakfast, and a stop at The Isieni Project Gift Shop in Punta Gorda.
