Spanish Lookout Expo opens with more than 200 booths showcasing Belizean industry

The 2026 Spanish Lookout Industrial and Commercial Expo is officially underway, bringing together businesses, manufacturers, and agricultural producers from across the country for one of Belize’s largest private-sector trade showcases.  The two-day event is being held at Spanish Lookout, inside Countryside Park, where organizers say more than two hundred booths representing over one hundred businesses are participating.  Visitors to the expo can explore a wide range of displays including vehicles, heavy machinery, agricultural equipment, and commercial products, highlighting the strength and innovation of Belize’s industrial and agricultural sectors.  The opening ceremony took place yesterday evening and featured remarks from several business and community leaders before the keynote address was delivered by John Briceño. In his address, the Prime Minister underscored the critical role of the private sector and communities like Spanish Lookout in driving national economic growth.

The opening program also included a welcome address from Norman Dueck, President of the Spanish Lookout Business Chamber, along with remarks from community leader Norman Reimer. The ceremony was hosted by Ambassador Daniel Gutierrez, who served as master of ceremonies.  Dueck also spoke about the wide variety of exhibits and activities that visitors can expect throughout the event.

Organizers say the expo will also feature food vendors, family-friendly activities, and networking opportunities for entrepreneurs and businesses from across Belize, making it both a commercial showcase and a community event celebrating the country’s productive sectors./
