Spanish Town Business Community Returning to Normal After Flare-Up of Violence

Several weeks after violent incidents crippled businesses in Spanish Town, St. Catherine, commercial activity is slowly returning to normal.

That’s the word from president of the St. Catherine Chamber of Commerce, Dennis Robotham.

There was a flare-up of violence in the Old Capital in January following the killing of reputed leader of the One Order gang, Othneil ‘Thickman’ Lobban.

Robotham says the business community has received ample notice from the police about their activities, which has allowed them to enhance their preparation.
