Dancehall star Spice is the center of attention in a new episode of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, following a heated exchange with fellow cast member Ashley. The tense moment was captured in a video clip shared by the show’s official Instagram page on Tuesday, September 23, and showed the argument as it unfolded on screen.
The clip begins with the cast seated for dinner at an upscale restaurant in Puerto Rico, marking their first night on the island. During the meal, Ashley brings up her curiosity about the tension between her and Spice.
She suggests that the only possible reason might be from a previous episode when she asked Spice to explain the meaning of the Jamaican phrase “Suck yuh mada.” At the time, Bambi, who is not on good terms with Spice, was present during the conversation
“I’m just trying to figure out where this tension is coming from, the only thing I can think of is at the retreat when I asked you what ‘suck yuh mada’ meant, and ever since then it’s been that type of vibe.”
Spice, clearly agitated, questioned why Ashley chose that moment to ask about the meaning of the phrase when Bambi was present. She asked why Ashley couldn’t have brought it up on a separate occasion, implying that Ashley was trying to stir up mischief.
“Why wait until I sit down with Bambi to ask what it meant? Why didn’t you asked me when we were texting?”
Ashley tried to explain her side, but Spice remained firm in her position. As the conversation became more heated, Spice accused Ashley of simply wanting the spotlight. This accusation escalated the tension between the two cast members.
As the argument escalated, Ashley’s husband, Zane, included himself in the confrontation. However, one of the cast members, Lil Scrappy told him he could not get involved since it was a dispute between two women.
Spice agreed and then directed her frustration at Zane, bringing up an incident from their time in England when he allegedly tried to hook up with one of her friends while being married to Ashley. “I don’t know why his cheating ass is even rebutalling everything, go tell her (Ashley) about when we were in England how you were looking my friend.”
Zane denied the allegations, insisting that Spice was lying about the incident. “Spice, you’re so cap”
The highlight of the clip came when the “Jim Screechie” hitmaker warned that if Ashley continued to be argumentative and use curse words, she would lay a beat down on both Ashley and her husband.
“I wonna make sure that everyone at this table is very aware of how calm I’m trying to handle the situation because if she keep on a talk to mi and a cuss up har badword, everybody aguh seh a me adi bully so if she keep on a gwan mi will beat the shit outta the two a dem together. She nuh know seh mi will tek da plate yah and buss her head.”
The exchange reached a boiling point when Ashley pushed back against Spice’s warning. She firmly rejected the notion that Spice would beat her and her husband, stating bluntly that it was not going to happen.
“So now you want to fight me? You’re gonna whoop me and my n*gga ass? Not here in Puerto Rico you’re not.”
This led to Ashley and her husband Zane abruptly walking out of the dinner. As they left, Ashley stated that she would not stand for the disrespect directed at her and her husband. In his individual background scene, Zane explained that he could see the situation between Ashley and Spice reaching another level, so he decided it was best for them to leave the venue before things got out of hand.
The clip closed with Spice sharing her frustration in her individual background scene. She expressed that Ashley constantly tries to confront her and make issues out of nothing. Spice also took another shot at Zane, making it clear that her feelings toward both of them remain unresolved.
“Everytime she wanna confront me, bitch don’t confront me go and confront yuh man and yuh mumma. Drag your ass and your ‘little tea pot short and stout’ husband and go through the door.”
With this episode reaching the next level of drama, all eyes will be on how Spice handles the fallout. As tensions continue to rise, the next episode is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated of the season.
