Spice’s ’10’ Re-Enters The Billboard Reggae Albums Chart

2 months ago 7

Spice is back on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart this week, as her Grammy-nominated album 10 re-enters at No. 8.

The album, released via VP Records, previously peaked at No. 6, driven by the enduring global success of its hit single “Go Down Deh,” featuring Shaggy and Sean Paul.

According to data obtained by WMV from Billboard sales tracker Luminate, the track has now surpassed 688,000 in sales TEA/SEA and 322 million Spotify streams, extending its lead as the most-streamed record led by a female dancehall act in history.

It is now eligible for Gold certification by the RIAA and will be the first song led by a female Jamaican artist in 30 years to earn that milestone.

With her return, Spice stands as the only woman on the chart this week, and 10 is only the second album by a female dancehall artist to chart this year, following Sister Nancy’s One Two, which climbed the rankings in April. Notably, 10also remains the most-streamed female dancehall album of all time on Spotify.

Back on this week’s Reggae Albums chart, Bob Marley and the Wailers’ Legend holds firmly at No. 1, followed by Shaggy’s Best Of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection at No. 2. Sean Paul makes a strong return as Dutty Classics Collection re-enters at No. 3, while his album Dutty Rock remains a steady presence in the top five. Stick Figure continues its multi-album momentum with World On Fire at No. 4, Wisdom at No. 6, and the long-charting Set in Stone at No. 7. Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley’s Welcome to Jamrock holds at No. 9, and UB40’s Greatest Hits rounds out the top 10. (Spice also appears elsewhere on the chart.)

Missing the chart this week is Popcaan’s sixth studio album Nothing Without God. The album, released on November 7, 2025, sold fewer than 500 streaming-equivalent units in its first week, marking the first time one of his albums has missed the top ten and his lowest first-week sales to date. It is also his first full-length project since parting ways with his previous OVO/Warner deal.

Four of his earlier releases — Fixtape (2020), Vanquish (2020), Forever (2018), and Where We Come From (2014) — all debuted and peaked at No. 2, with Fixtape enjoying the longest run at 31 weeks. His more recent project Great Is He(2023) reached No. 3 and spent nine weeks on the chart.

Great Is He sold 3,200 units in the U.S. during its first week, according to data provided to World Music Views by Luminate. Of that amount, 300 copies were pure album sales. The album has since surpassed 100 million Spotify streams.

Notably, Popcaan’s Fixtape, released as a surprise drop on August 7, 2020, debuted at No. 94 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart—his highest entry—and he remains the only Jamaican artist to debut on the U.S. Billboard 200 in the 2020s, despite numerous releases from other acts.
