Reminiscent of Spotify’s monthly listeners feature, YouTube launched a fan-facing public metric listenership feature this year. YouTube Music: Monthly Audience updates daily to show an artiste’s total number of unique listeners and viewers across all formats in the last 28 days.
For this feature to be accessed publicly, an artiste’s channel’s monthly audience must have over 50,000 listeners in addition to more than 100,000 subscribers. Spice, who has over 2.74 million subscribers on YouTube, currently sits on top of the list of Jamaican artistes with the highest monthly audiences.
With 255 million monthly listeners, the Suh Mi Like It artiste comes out ahead of her Go Down Deh collaborators Sean Paul and Shaggy. The veteran deejays have the second and third highest monthly audiences, 127 million and 55 million, respectively.
Spice’s collaboration with the men also happens to be her top song on the platform, with 658 million plays. Charley Blacks has the fourth highest monthly audience, with 41.2 million listeners.

Stefflon Don and Skillibeng have the fifth and sixth-highest monthly audiences, with 30.6 million and 26.4 million, respectively. Vybz Kartel, who recently made history for his sold-out concerts in New York, has the seventh-highest monthly audience, with 13 million monthly listeners.

Rounding out the remainder of the top thirteen are Shenseea, Popcaan, Beenie Man, Alkaline, Masicka, and Koffee, with 8.15 million, 4.83 million, 3.1 million, 2.8 million, 2.28 million, and 2.33 million monthly listeners, respectively.

YouTube Music: Monthly Audience takes into account an artiste’s global viewership and listenership across all YouTube formats. This is inclusive of collaborations uploaded to other channels, long-form videos, and shorts uploaded by the artiste, their label, or fans.
Global viewership and listenership from non-music content from the artiste’s channel are also included in the monthly audience calculation.
