Dancehall star, Spragga Benz is celebrating the Accompong Maroons now having reliable access to potable water.
In a social media repost, from Maroon Chief, Richard Currie, Spragga shared that with the assistance of the Moses West Foundation and Crecycle Consultancy, Accompong now boasts a fully solar powered and hurricane proof custom atmospheric water generator, making water sustainability a reality for the community.
The We Nuh Like DJ also lauded Chief Currie, for delivering on his promise to provide long-term access to potable water, making access to the commodity for the St. Elizabeth community no longer a dream.
Situated in the region of the Cockpit Country, which supplies a substantial portion of Jamaica’s fresh water, the historical Maroon village previously faced significant water supply issues.
