Captain Kusal Mendis slammed 124 to lead Sri Lanka to a 99 run win over Bangladesh in Knady to win their three match One Day International series 2-1
Mendis’ knock which came off 114 with 18 boundries, steered the Sri Lankans to 284 for 7 in their 50 overs.
He starred in a 124 runs partnership with Charith Asalanka who made 58 off 68 balls while Pathum Nissanka weighed in with 35.
Bangladesh replied with 186 in 39.4 overs, their topscore came from Towhid Hridoy who made 51 as Asitha Fernando and Dushmantha Chameera claimed three wickets each.
