The St. Lucia Kings secured their first hold on the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League trophy beating last year’s winners Guyana Amazon Warriors by six wickets at the Providence stadium, Sunday night.
Batting first, the Warriors made 138 for 8 off their 20 overs. Dwaine Pretorius made 24 and Shai Hope finished with a knock of 22.
Noor Ahmad finished with 3 for 19.
In reply, the Kings made 139 for 4 inside 19 overs.
Aaron Jones led the charge with an unbeaten 48, while Roston Chase made 39 and captain Faf du Plessis scored 21.
